Wow!! Another year!! 2010 flew by and before we know it we will officially be finished with 1/2 of our school year. If the second half goes as well as the first half, we will be in good shape!! :-)
The first two weeks of 2011 will be spent on review (to refresh the students after their Christmas break), new instruction, a pretest and a test. The specifics are as follows.
7th grade:
Mon., Jan. 3 - Fri., Jan. 7: The 7th graders will not have homework this entire week. We will be working on a Fraction/Decimal/Percent mini-unit that will include lots of practice with equivalencies and will culminate with a quiz on Friday over common fractions, decimals, and percents.
Mon., Jan. 10: Pretest in class
Tues., Jan. 11: Test!
Wed., Jan. 12: no homework
Thurs., Jan. 13: end of quarter; good behavior field trip; no class; early dismissal at 12:40 p.m.
Fri., Jan. 14 & Mon., Jan. 17: NO SCHOOL
8th grade:
Mon., Jan. 3: no homework
Tues., Jan. 4: L. 54
Wed., Jan. 5: no homework
Thurs., Jan. 6: L. 57
Fri., Jan. 7: no homework
Mon., Jan. 10: Pretest in class
